Living Lab

Experiential and applied learning with the farm at Royal Roads

Students of RRU have opportunities to participate in the garden – and grow with it – either as part of a program, course, or as a volunteer.  For more information, contact thefarm@royalroads.ca

Experiential and applied learning opportunities are part of the living lab learning model at Royal Roads.  Projects tackle real-life issues, enrich student experiences and the places, community and organizations that are participants with the learning lab.

One of our first living lab projects as part of the Farm at Royal Roads was from the Bachelor of Business Administration in Innovation and Sustainability program, putting students to work solving real-world problems, such as how to ramp up food production on campus.

Stay tuned here for more updates and stories of living lab student projects supporting the farm.
