Phase one of the Farm project is the Giving Garden. Lawn was turned into garden through a large sheet-mulch for a no-dig approach; laying cardboard down first and putting manure and compost on top. Wood chips are used for the pathways.

The food grown in this garden is donated to community organizations, kitchens and fridges.
